Today Im sharing a layout which I have created for my Mum and also for my Purple Pumpkin Post.. About a month or so ago she had to make the hard decision of putting down her dog Cosmo. He was 15 years old and had some pretty bad heart problems. This was the last photo I took of him before he was put to rest.
And now for some close ups...
As you can see the tag has got the awesome brown/teal twine attached to it. The cluster is the vinyl lollypop flower with book paper and button, the green heart button was from last months sale, with brown/white twine. I also tucked a doily under the lollypop flower to add some more colour.
Again here in this close up you can see the green doily paired up with an awesome brown patterened button that I had in my Purple Pumpkin Stash.
This month for ATC Addiction the theme was 'armed forces'
I didnt have much in the way of stamps, embellishments on the serious side of our defence source, but as most of you that know me MUSIC is a HUGE part of my life and well the Village People said it when they sing 'In the Navy' so i took a 'lighter' approach to the theme...
I used a little tug boat stamp I had, teared some Cord-inations cardstock to get the ocean feel and then printed out some lyrics from the Village Peoples' 'In The Navy'
Here are all 5 of my ATCs, everyone got a different line from the chorus (and yes i know there are some lines missing...I only had to make 5 ATCs)
I was needing a little inspiration for a layout for my Purple Pumpkin post so thought I would check out the challenge Sketch on Stuck?!
I had this photo of Fletchy from last year, he gets really grumpy sometimes when I want to take photos of him, I want photos that capture ever side of my boys and thought this one was perfect for his Scrapbook album (you cant ALWAYS scrap the perfect photos lol).
Hi guys, the ScrapLounge cyber crop started tonight. Thought I would share the awesome challenges that are lined up for the weekend...Head on over and join in on all the fun...
The theme for April's Cyber Crop is 'Easter' I was able to create my layouts using all the same range by Kaisercraft called Fine & Sunny, I have also used glimmer mist, paint, fiskars border punches, Purple Pumpkin Embellishments, Ribbon, Washi tape (d-lish Scraps) & WOW chipboard.
6pm Challenge - Mel's Challenge:
Use yellow on a layout
Have ONLY 1 mini print photo on the layout (must be smaller then a 6x4 standard photo)
Include paint on your layout.
This is my layout...
Close ups...
6:30pm Challenge - Storm's Sketch
My take on the sketch...
7pm Challenge - My Challenge
Create a layout that is not a traditional 12x12 square (eg circle, oval, diamond...be creative)
The layout must also include at least 1 handmade embellishment
Over the Easter long weekend Scraplounge had some Awesome Challenges...
Challenge 1
And this is what I came up with...
I used October Afternoon Sidewalk papers for this layout
Close ups....
I made the bow out of a scrap piece of doily I had from Purple Pumpkin
I made the Bottle Caps myself using images from the paper range.
I made this pinwheel and added this cute owl button from Purple Pumpkin
I just adore these heart buttons, also from Purple Pumpkin
Challenge 2
we didnt have to make the card Easter themed, but i just had to use these cute bunny stamps!
Challenge 3
INGREDIENTS
1 PIECE OF CARDSTOCK
1 PIECE OF DOUBLE-SIDED PATTERNED PAPER
OR 2 SINGLE-SIDED PIECES
CIRCLES MUST FORM PART OF YOUR DESIGN
YOUR TITLE MUST BE A MIXED ALPHA TITLE
THREE LINES OF JOURNALING
LACE OR RIBBON MUST BE INCLUDED
METHOD
MIX IT ALL TOGETHER AND UPLOAD TO THE GALLERY
And this is what I came up with
I did use only 1 double sided piece of paper for tis layout, it was a Kaiser Craft paper called Bloomers from the Madam Boutique range, it has all the patterns on teh one sheet which worked out great for this challenge.
Lace had to be used on the layout so I created this flower and added a gold/pearl brad in the centre.
And this is the journaling, and yes i stuck every single letter down by hand! my hand writting has been shocking as of late and didnt want to ruin this layout with my ugly hand writing.
Challenge 4
this is what i did...
I used Bo Bunny Vicki B papers for this card and a cute little charm from Fancy That.
Dont forget about the Scraplounge Cyber Crop which is on the weekend of April 13th-16th come along and join in the fun, cool prizes up for grabs too.
I sure do enjoy the good things in life...and why shouldnt we all :)
Today I would like to share a layout I did for my Purple Pumpkin Post yesterday.
I have used the Kaiser Craft range 13th Hour. I have also used a black doily flower from Bella!, Prima brick mask, Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and of course...Purple Pumpkin yummies!!!
This is a close up of the purple doily from PP , MS punched butterfly and a bit of the Bella flower.
And this is something a little quirky i came up with...I simply wrapped some twine i had from PP and wrapped it around a light purple with white spot button also from PP.
I love these photos and have wanted to scrap them for years...they are of my bridesmaids and I in the middle of a busy road having photos taken while hubby and the groomsmen watch on (i think they were a lil embarrassed!!!) I used 3 of the small felt flowers and the large blue pattern material flower with the word 'girls' in the centre (used that in my title) I have also used one of Nic's hand coloured paper doily's.
The second challenge was to use black & white + 1
my +1 was blue (surprise surprise!)
On this layout I used the blue with white spot border runner, silk flower and 2 small felt flowers
from Nic Creates.
The Cyber Crop is scheduled for the weekend of April 13th-16th with the theme of 'Easter' so mark that on your calendars and come along and join in the fun!
