Couture Creations Design Team Audition 2019

Hello, and Welcome to my Design Team Audition for Couture Creations 2019/2020

Concertina Album Using Sunburnt Country

Sunburnt Country would have to be one of my favorite ranges that has been released. Its colours are amazing and the flora and fauna images are just stunning.

The above image is the front of the album. I have used the A4 Kookaburra Decoupage sheet image and some leaves and printed stamp from the ephemera pack. The back ground is Sheet 4 that i got out of the 12x12 Collection pack and I have used some Liquid drop 3D Pearls in Buttercup to highlight the blossoms from the wattle.

I created this Concertina Album from scratch using Chipboard and Cardstock. I will show the basic concept of putting it together towards the end.

This is what it looks like opened fully, and below are larger images of each section I created with more detail.

I created 2 tags using the images from the paper ....

This is the other side of the album
and below are close up images for more detail.

The basic construction for this album
Firstly, Cut chipboard to desired size.
Cut cardstock 1.5cm larger then the chipboard
Cut corners, and then fold over the overhang and stick down with your choice of adhesive. I used double sided tape.
Work out the size you want for the Concertina part of the Album, then fold in the Mountain/Valley fold. Then attach to the front and back covers of the album. Lastly use coordinating papers and embellishments to decorate.

With another image from the Kookaburra 3D pack I whipped up this card with left over papers. The paper is Sheet 10.

Layout using Sunburnt Country
I love a little fussy cutting, and the paper Sheet 8 from Sunburnt Country was asking for it...so I did and it lead me to create this cute little layout of my son, and I even added some real items from my backyard as a little extra.

Fussy cutting and finding the right sized stick was a challenge for the bird, but I did manage to find one that helped give the layout more dimension. Sheet 5 will have this gorgeous bird from Sunburnt Country

I even managed to wrap the birds feet/claws around the stick so it looks likeit is perched there.

Layout using Gentleman's Emporium
I have been holding onto this photo of my grandfather for some time. It was taken back in the 80s at one of his favorite fishing locations.
Below is a little close up of the layering I created for the layout.

Although this is not a current Video of my work, I thought I would include this so you can see how I produce and create videos for Demos/projects.
