Black with Two Challenge - May

This post is of a layout I have done for the Black With Two challenge Blog.

The challenge is

DOMINANT BLACK ...

WITH RED

AND RECYCLED ALPHAS ....

Here is my Layout... (sorry for the dodgy pics, Someone...not mentioning any names (ANDY!) has been playing with my settings and I cant figure out what he has done :(   so I hope these will do!    )

Girls, Just want to have fun!

It was hard using a solid Black Cardstock for the background, I originally had the layout on a black with pale diamonds paper, but then re-read the challenge and thought...better stick to the rules :)

I created a Bunting with some of the left over paper i used and stuck my fav basic grey black alpha stickers to it...

Oh Tulle how I love thee...and a simple flower I created using some green tara flowers and a black button...

Sorry for the dodgy pic, these are the recycled Alphas...i made the 'J' and the 'Z' into patterns...

Hope you are all having a great start to the week, its rainign here in QLD tonight...and i dont think its going to clear up anytime soon :(

Daddy's Little Man

Hi everyone, just a quick post this morning before I head into my shop...
I did this layout a little while back for a class at Fancy That Scrapbooking

I used the Words or Whatever title 'Daddy's little Man' for the title, I inked it and did an outline around the word MAN in black marker.

I used my 'bubble wrap' stamp from kaiser to turn a plain piece of cardstock into a grungy looking bit of paper for the layout.

I used my Big Shot to emboss this bit of paper and i then inked over it to highlight the embossing.

White with 1 Challenge May

Over at the White with 1 Challenge Blog the Challenge for this month was
White + Orange+ Scallops

Here is my layout:
Orange isnt a fav colour of mine, but this layout has come together so well.

These are some handmade flowers I made using coredinations cardstock. I added a little kindy glitz to the edges of the flower for some sparkle

I inked this WOW chipboard ORNATE OVAL HANGING SIGN and added some little white roses

Here is a close up of my 'Sew Easy' in action, i LUV LUV this tool

A close up of my Title, if you havent noticed yet, most of my layouts are titles with songs or lyrics from songs... This one is Elvis's My Hapiness and the little tiny alphas say "Whether Skies are grey or blue, Any place on Earth will do, Just as long as Im with you, My Happiness"
Chipboard has been painted orange and then coated with kindy Glitz

And just cos I can, another close up of my flowers :)

And for thos of you that dont know the song... here it is..

Once Upon A...Sketch May Challenge 1

After the rejection of some of my work I was feeling a little down. I was going to have a few days off from
Scrapbooking, and just make some cards until... I saw the Challenge on Once Upon A...Sketch.
And I thought, the best thing to do when you fall off a bike is get back on and try again...well i wasnt riding a bike but you get it..

This is the sketch below:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I used the song By Aaliyah as my title because i thought it was fitting for how I felt, and the journaling was a note to myself to remember I AM AWESOME! (cos as most of you that know me...I am :P   )

The Papers I used were My Minds Eye - Meadowlark - Disk
My Minds Eye - Lush - Black Floral Tiles

This Black Pearly Swirl comes from Flourish With a Bling, it was a large flourish so I cut it to fit just perfect...
You cant see it very well in this pic...but can you see the dragonfly??? I had to use it just love my dragonflies!

close up of my title, I used some read Glitter to make the 'Try Again' stand out in the Title
Chipboard letters are from Kaiser and the tiny alphas are from Adorn-it ( i use these alphas alot!)

And this wonderful pretty birdcage comes from Kutalicious, They are 2 lovely ladies that make these wonderful pieces and the best part is they are local and you can find their products in my shop - Fancy That Scrapbooking

here is a close up of my journaling spot which is a must on a challenge you do for Once upon a..Sketch!
I have folded the red ribbon back and forth to create this lovely effect and border around my journaling tag!

This is a technique I rarely use, but am going to start using alot more now since I was at Creative Block last week at Printblocks! I did the Core-dinations class and discovered a whole new way of using their cardstock! Here I have run my cardstock through My Sizzix Bigshot with an embossing folder and then I have used sand paper to rub the embossed area back to show the core colour of the cardstock, simple and effective..Love it!

And yep you dont even have to ask...here it is..

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week..I know I will be tomorrow Ipswich Show Day here in Ippy so I am taking the boys to Seaworld....hoping to get some really good pics to scrap :)

kaisercraft Design Team Call 2011-2012

I thought I would apply for the current Design Team Call call at Kaisercraft.

Below are some projects that I have created using Kaisercraft Paper ranges and Products.

These cards are made using the new 'Party Animals' range by kaiser
...and here are the close ups, I love the stamps I think they are so cute.
The colours in this range are so bright and fun.

This is a Mini Flip album I created using the 'Secret Bird Society' paper range.
This mini Flip Album is a great way to present many photos, great idea for a coffee table book.

Here are some Beyond the page projects I made for my home.
The 'Peachy keen' range of kaisercraft was adroable and I had to use it for my theme in my house.
I have created a clock, address book and calendar, the calendar has been made so I can update the photo too.
The 'After Five' range was fantastic to use for this wedding photo of mine.
I wanted somehting to put on the wall, and created this canvas. I have handmade the flowers myself and the brads in the middle too.
I created a lace trim on the semi circle by using a border punch.

After seeing Melissa Kennedy's layout in the magazine I was inspired to create this mini canvas.
The 'Home made' range was so warm with colours, I just loved it!
This layout was created using the 'Le Chateau' range.
I made some handmade flowers too for this layout and used some glimmer mist (hard to see but it is there!)

These next layouts were created using the 6x6 paper pads in their paper ranges.
'Bubble Gum Hills' was a bright and funky range Loved it, and love making a full 12x12 out of 6x6 pads!

'Seaside' paper collection, again another 6x6 pad to create a 12x12 layout.-its all in teh placement!

This is a real grungy looking layout using the 'Shaken not stirred' collection

'Love Notes' was a really pretty range to work with, the embelishments for this range were fabbo!

this layout was created using 'Konstrukt' The colours in this paper range
were so rich and bright was great to use.

And last of all my Tissue Box that os covered with my most favourite insect...Dragonflies!
This was made using an earlier range by Kiasercraft called 'Dancing Jewel'
