Bucket List - Ch1 Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

I have to thank my friend Anne for suggesting this awesome challenge site

I only managed to do the first challenge this month cos i've been super busy...but I loved the challenge..

'Now here's a thoughtful and fun challenge:
What is on your "bucket list" - your list of items that you want to accomplish before you "kick the bucket".  If you have already made a layout on this subject and your list has not been updated - maybe you'd like to scrap about an item from your first list that you have already accomplished or that you want to elaborate on.'

So I thought I would do my Bucket List...I haven't thought about scrapping a layout about it..

However I didn't write my list on paper...I actually have my bucket list online...so in teh envelope is a lil tag with the URL to my list.. (cheeky hey...)

Oh and for those that know me...yes...I used PINK!

now for some close ups...

I liked this flower chipboard from Scrapmatts CB 1023

This awesome flower comes from Purple Pumpkin and the little bit of chipboard poking out is also from Scrapmatts  CB 5052

...and one more scrapmatts chipboard CB 1020

Tea Cup Ride - Scrap the boys March Challenge

I haven't been scrapping much this month...
Ive been super busy with something you will soon find out about....

I whipped up this layout the other day based on the criteria on the
Scrap The Boys challenge blog for this month.

The challenge was to use
2 photos 6x4 or smaller
Chipboard
Washi tape
Mists/paints

and here is my layout

LOL not the most masculine layout you have seen...but my baby loves PINK!
This is Fletch ont he tea cup rides at an open day back in 2012...he was on that ride so many times we thought he was going to be sick because in between he would eat sausages, fairy floss and popcorn.

I have used Washi tape from Purple Pumpkin
Chipboard from Scrapmatts CB8001

ScrapLounge & Purple Pumpkin - February

WOW I can not believe it is already February...Here in QLD we have been through a lot the past few weeks...Icky Hot weather followed by a terrible storm that has sent devastation across the state...on the plus side...the kids are back at school and life at my house can slowly start to get back to normal...

This month on Scraplounge we have 2 fantastic challenge for you. The theme is...'Happiness'

This awesome Sketch was created by me this month..

and here is my take on it...

This is a layout of my cousin Ross and his Beautiful wife Amber on their wedding day.

Our Technique challenge was to use Fabric on our layouts.

So I decided to use Crece's calico creations. Which simply means I used calico as my background instead of using a piece of paper...

I love this photo of my 2 boys dressed as clowns...this is also the layout I used for
 my scrapmatts GDT yesterday...

Over at Purple Pumpkin we have our fab sketch challenge on again for February...

Here is the February sketch:
February's sketch was created by the talented Debbie Burns

and this is my take on the layout...

Thanks for looking, and I hope you have ago at some or all of these challenges this month

Projects for my Guest DT at Scrapmatts

For the months of February and March I was asked to be a
Guest Design Team member for Scrapmatts.

Scrapmatts is a 100% Australian Made Chipboard company that sells beautifully
designed chipboard that looks great on any project.
Check out heir shop here.

First of all is this OTP item I created as a wall hanging using Layered Window 1 (CB4054), Leaf Spray 02 (CB5082), Lamp Post 06 (CB5028), Hearts 01 (CB1068) & the word 'Moments' comes from Assorted Words 07 (CB6071)

I have used a photo of DT and I on our Wedding day.
The layered window was created by using texture paste on the top layer and then giving it a coat of dusty pink paint.
I then painted the bottom layer with a maroon colour to make the top layer stand out. I used paper from the 6.5x6.5 paper pad from Kaisercraft called The Lake House

This close up shows the Leaf Spray (CB5082) I have used under the cluster of flowers, I heat embossed gold embossing powder onto it, and the other Scrapmatts pieces I used.

This close up shows the  Hearts 01 (CB1068) & the word 'Moments' comes from Assorted Words 07 (CB6071)

This next layout is of Andy and Fletchy. We went to the railway museum and they were sitting on the steps to one of the sheds and I was able to snap the beautiful shot of them...

On this layout I have used Gear Frame 01 (CB5005) & Gears 02 (CB1073)
I covered using Utee ultra thick embossing enamel in
Bronze and Platinum for that aged look.

I love cogs on male themed layouts, the replace the 'flower' element that we use a lot of
on other layouts

This next layout I created for Scrapmatts and ScrapLounge
I cant reveal the criteria for Scraplounge...But I can explain what I used from Scrapmatts...You will have to pop back tomorrow to find out more about ScrapLounge

 I have used Nested Shapes 07 (CB5021) & the New for February 13' Flags 02 (CB5101)

I covered the Flags (CB5101) and the centre Nested Shape Star (CB5021) with paper from the co-ordinating paper range  that I have used on the layout
the other nested star was covered in red Kindy Glitz.

I had a ball creating these projects, and I will be creating more this month to share in the Scrapmatts gallery too

Thanks for looking
