Just Like Daddy

Took Fletcher to see his Daddy Working this week at Mt Ommaney. DT has been doing stuff for Radio Kid in conjunction with River 94.9.

Here are some pics of Fletch and DT doing Radio Kid. (basicly its a chance for the kids to have a go at being an announcer for radio, they even get a copy of themselves on cd to take home with them)

Its so cute to see Fletch doing this radio stuff, just like his Daddy. Fletch has even done some radio commercials for River 94.9. He says he is going to sue the money he makes for the commercials to buy an IPad 2...gotta love it!!

Scrap Lounge September Challenge

Over at Scrap Lounge this month is a wonderful Sketch  Challenge by Danie ...

And here is my take on the Sketch....

This is a Pic of Fletchy and I for his first Christmas. I cant believe how young I look (i was 24)
The papers I used are Kaiser Craft Miss Nelly. From the 61/2 x 61/2 paper pad - I love using these small pads to create a 12x12 layout.
The white flowers and leaves are Green Tara...I also made the red roses using a sizzix die...AWESOME!
The word Hugs is a chipboard I had lying around from Scrapware.

This was my first time over at Scrap Lounge and i LOVE it!!! some fantastic work by ladies, great inspiration!

Hope you have all been having a great week...I have missed being at my shop but I know my boys have loved spending time with their Mummy.

White With 1 - September

The White with 1 challenge this month is to use White + Pale Pink + Journaling on the photo
Below is what I came up with for a layout.

Fletcher LOVES the colour Pink, so i thought it was only appropriate to scrap a layout of him and something pink!

Close up of the Journaling on the photo and below. I used some small letter stickers to journal with as I'm too shaky at the moment to write on anything.

Another close up of just the journaling on the photo.

The title is 'He Loves Pink' I used some cursive letter sticker for the beginning of the title, and then to create the 'pink' i placed large chipboard letters onto the paper and sprayed a mixture i made of water and hot pink paint. It's not over powering, but i am very happy with how it turned out.

Here is a close up of the papers and how I placed them on the layout, the photos I have uploaded don't show ALL the detail I have done on this layout (which is a shame)
You may not be able to see it but there is a smear of white paint under where the photo is laying. the pink paper as the background was juts a little too much so by adding the white it dulled it down.

And now for a song...

Pink's You and Ur Hand, luv this song :)

Get Picky - August

I came across Get Picky, its a challenge blog. They run 2 challenges in a month one is a Sketch Challenge and the other is an inspiration challenge.

I thought I would have ago at the sketch challenge...

Below is the sketch that was given...

And here is my take on the Sketch:

I placed a chipboard title onto the corner of my cardstock and lightly glimmermisted over it to make the title of this layout, I love the effect it has..

The leather heart is from Purple Pumpkin, and the Heart pin and Lace are Maya Road.

Show Us Your Stuff - August

I had a go at both challenges over at Show Us your Stuff this month.

The First challenge was to use Paint, Include the colour red, Handmade flower, Include some fussy cutting & Use a decorative strip!

Also this month if you added some paper beads to your layout as a technique you go into the draw to win a prize.

here is my take on the challenge:

This is a picture of my Dad's Parents on their Wedding Day

A close up of the flower I made

This is my attempt at a rolled bead made into a butterfly with some of the patterned paper

Just a random close up from the top right of the layout.

The Second challenge was to use the Quote:

"Life is like a great big canvas and you should throw all the paint on it you can" Danny Kaye

And here is what I came up with...

The quote just made me want to use LOTS of bright colours so this is what I came up with...

Close up of the quote on the layout

 I Made this Penguin Brad

I made these clouds too...they are so easy...I used an imaginisce stamp of a Cloud and stamped using Staz On in Black onto White cardstock and then cut the cloud out and ran it in my 'Big Shot' using my Swiss Dots embossing Folder. EASY!!!

And my take on the Sketch:

I used the song lyrics from the song 'Glory of Love' by Peter Cetera. My Hubby and I had this as our Wedding song, cos we both love the Karate Kid movies (and this was one of the songs from the movie)
