Yummy Sweet Strawberry - WW1 October Challenge

Final post today...I promise...lol

The colour this month for White with 1 is Watermelon...now I know Im using a photograph of a Strawberry not a watermelon...as my 9 year old son pointed out to me the other night when I was explaining what I was doing!

This is a very old photo from way back in 2005 when we went to Melbourne Zoo...the Emu just happened to turn its head as I took the photo :)

At first I was taken aback by the colours, I don't normally use suck striking bold tones all together, and had to think really hard about the photos I wanted to scrap...here is what I came up with...

Projects for Scrapmatts DT October 2013

The design team had a couple of challenges set this month over on Scrapmatts.

First up was a colour challenge...we had to use 'BRIGHT' colours.

I decided on Pink, Purple and Turquoise as my colour scheme and this is what I came up with...

 

 

And the next challenge was to create some Christmas ATCs...

Whats happening on Scraplounge in October???

I know we are well and truly over the half way mark for October but there is still time to enter the challenges on Scraplounge for this Month...

This month the theme is 'Weddings'. we had 2 challenges, a sketch challenge and a Technique challenge using Ruffles!

 

This is the Sketch..it was created by Creative team member Tracey

 

And this is my take on the sketch...

 

 

and the technique was Ruffles...

 

 

I used yellow tissue paper to create a fully ruffled background!
