I Body clock has been all over the place lately. I cant get to sleep at my normal time so I've been drifting off around 4am of a morning, and sleep in til around 11am...which sounds all good, but not really a habit I want to get into and hard when you have 2 children to look after...
I managed to scrap yesterday for my Purple Pumpkin post for today, and thought I would share it on my Blog too...
The layout was based on a sketch from Stuck Sketches..
here is the sketch...
And here is my take on the sketch....
Sk8er Boi
This Andy on his skateboard, Ive had this pic sitting in my folder to be scrapped for ages.
Here is a close up of the embellishments I have used from PP, The vinyl round, a green ticket and a grey spotted button.
you can see here all the awesome Washi Tape which is also from the PP shop.
Wow 2 posts already and its only the 1st day of the year... (I wonder if I will be able to keep this blog up to date this year???)
I will start by sharing the layout I created for the Purple Pumpkin Blog Challenge.
I created the Sketch used this month and it looks a little like this...
And this is what I came up with...
'Cherish' This is me when I was little. I have used Miss Match paper range by Kaisercraft. I love the papers in this range, looking at them on their own you think no way they will match...but once you start working with them they come together so well.
If you look along the top of my blog you will notice a 'New' area to my blog called
'Photo a Day 2013'
I have decided to follow the FMS list of photos to take every day and I hope that I can keep up with it, I not posts will become weekly (sometimes people get busy and daily cant be done...)
So if you would like to see my pics, just click on the words above and they will direct you to my Photo a day images.
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you had a great night last night celebrating xxx
I would love to welcome this new year in by sharing 2 layouts I created for January's challenges over at Scrap Lounge.
The Theme is ephemera.
This is the Sketch created by our CT member Jody...
and here is my take on the sketch...
here is a close up of the ephemera I used...
The ephemera I used was a squished coin from Melbourne Zoo, I made it in the machine that was there when I went last year.
This next layout is for the technique challenge which was use ephemera on your layout..
I called it 'Together Forever' after the song by Rick Astley...who is also in the photo with me!!!
This is a close up of the doily and music button from Purple Pumpkin, the white flower is from couture creations and the pink flower is from Green Tara
and here is the ephemera I used - my signed concert ticket from Rick Astley.
It was an awesome concert one I will remember for a very long time. I was also lucky enough to be picked to go on stage with him with my friend Carol and some other girls from the crowd to dance with him on stage...awesome!
Helloooo...This will be my last post for 2012. This year sure has had its ups and downs, but I am really looking forward to partying tonight and celebrating the end of 2012 and welcoming 2013.

I flipped the sketch, and here is my take...

and here are some close ups...

Buttons and doily flower are also from Purple Pumpkin

Scissor sisters - Lets have a Kiki
I love this song as its typical Scissor Sisters style...weird :)
How is everyone??? I was going through my blog and noticed I have missed posting LOTS of layouts this year, so not to bore anyone with hundreds of layouts, I thought I would pic a couple and post them tonight before my final post for 2012 tomorrow.
This first Layout I did for Purple Pumpkin. This is my best friends little girl Mia.
and some close ups...
I have used a Kaiser Cabochon, blue heart button and heart twine are from Purple Pumpkin.
I am simply loving the bottle tops from Purple Pumpkin, this one has a pink care bear on it also I have used the pink material flower and floral button from Purple Pumpkin. The paper roses are from Green Tara.
This next Layout is one of my favourite Christmas Layouts because it is a fun one of my boys from last years Christmas Card Photo Shoot.
I used the WRMK Lucky 8 punch to create the circle shape for the background.
I cut some of the trees from the paper range and layered them up...
here you can also see a slight close up of the stitching I have done on the page using the wrmk sew easy.
The little red doily and red heart button come from Purple Pumpkin.
This layout is of my Dad and his wide with the boys at Sea World. This day was very special to me as it was on my 30th Birthday and my Dad drove from Victoria just to see me :)
a nice little cluster of Purple Pumpkin buttons, twine and orange tickets...
This is 'Me at 3'
a little misting here and there and some yummy PP embellishments...
Satin lollipop flower, Couture creations beige flower, purple spotted button and a WOW chipboard peacock feather that I embossed with gold and coloured with glitter.
And the last one...
'Carry laughter with you everywhere you go'
This is my lil Fletchy dressed up as a Clown when he was in Grade 2.
Care bear bottle top, blue/white spotted button and fluffy yellow button from Purple Pumpkin used here...
I also love the cloud buttons from PP and the Twine is so handy and it comes in soooo many colours.
Ive been trying to think of a song to end tonight's post, and I cant really find one that suits the post so I thought I would use a classic MJ song..
Man in the Mirror
What I get from this song is that I need to make the changes in my life and not expect them to just happen, but work at it and good things will come...and that's what I am hoping for 2013.
Inspired Blueprints is going to be back in 2013. I love working off sketches and was thrilled by the news when I read it on Facebook.
So a sketch was posted to get us in the mood and here is the sketch...
This sketch is one of the original Sketches from when Inspired Blueprints got started...
and here is my take on the Sketch...
I kept this layout simple as the photo of the boys was large...
There are little details here and there that I did myself...
I made this bottle cap with some of the patterned paper from this Kaiser collection...
The orange/yellow cardstock I used here was put through my Big Shot and embossed to give it that sun ray pattern. The brads here are also made by me, I used the I-top tool by imaginisce a tool I have had for ages and haven't used.
Merry Christmas Everyone, hope you have all had a wonderful day. I was awake at 5am this morning as my 2 lil ones decided it was time to wake up and open presents...I sent them back to bed...I know I may sound like a mean mum...but I have an excuse...Im not well, Ive been sick with a sore throat, and it hurts to swallow.
But I really need to get this blog in order...I know I keep saying it but I have no excuses now...Christmas is over and there is no school til end of January so I am going to be a little more organised!
This layout I would love to share with you today is for the challenge site White with 1. The challenge, White with red and a Christmas Photo.
I decided to use the photo I took of the boys that I sent to all my family and friends for Christmas. Its a little tradition I do every year since Andrew was first born.
I have used some Purple Pumpkin and a red ribbon that was from a Christmas present I received last year.
Here are some close ups...
I hope you and your family have been able to have a great day together and all the best for 2013
